[iOS] UIApplication 이란?

이번 시간에는 `UIApplication` 클래스에 대해서 알아보겠습니다.

개요

 

모든 iOS 앱은 정확히 단 하나의 UIApplication 인스턴스를 가지고 있습니다.

아주 드문경우, UIApplication를 서브클래싱한 인스턴스를 사용한다고 합니다.

 

앱이 실행되면, 시스템은 UIApplicationMain(_:_:_:_:) 를 호출합니다.

:: 이전 글에 나온 내용이지만, 보통 AppDelegate.main() 의 실행으로 호출됩니다.

 

해당 메서드의 작업 중 하나는 UIApplication 오브젝트를 만드는 것입니다.

 

이것은 싱글톤으로 만들어지며, shared 속성으로 접근할 수 있습니다.

 

Launch Time 중 UIApplicationMain(_:_:_:_:) 메서드에서 생성됩니다

위 함수는 또한 앱의 런 루프를 포함하는 메인 이벤트 루프를 구성합니다.

 

앱의 UIApplication 오브젝트는 사용자 이벤트의 초기 라우팅을 처리합니다.

여기서 라우팅은 전달받은 사용자 이벤트를 어떤 오브젝트에 전달할지 결정하는 작업이 되겠습니다.

 

UIApplication 오브젝트는 UIControl  인스턴스가 전달한 action message 를 적절한 target 오브젝트에 전달합니다.

UIApplication 오브젝트는 `open` 상태의 UIWindow 오브젝트 리스트를 유지하면서, 앱 내 UIView 오브젝트들을 검색하는데 사용합니다.

 

UIApplication 클래스는 delegate 을 정의합니다.

이 delegate은 UIApplicationDelegate 프로토콜을 채택해야 합니다.

 

UIApplication 오브젝트는 이 delegate 에게 중요한 런타임 이벤트가 발생할 때 알려줍니다.

 

예를 들어, App launch, low-memory warnings, App termination 같은 이벤트 입니다.

앱 시작, 메모리 부족 경고, 앱 종료

 

위 이벤트들을 알려줌으로서 delegate 가 적절하게 대응할 수 있게 해주는 것입니다.

 

앱들은 협동적으로 리소스를 제어할 수 있습니다.

 

리소스는 email 과 image file 같은 것들인데, open(_:options:completionHandler:) 메서드를 사용하여 제어합니다.

 

예를 들면, 앱은 이 메서드에 email URL 을 전달하여 Mail 앱을 실행하고 메시지를 화면에 표시할 수 있습니다.

UIApplication 클래스의 API 는 기기에 특정한 동작을 가능하게 해줍니다. 다음과 같이 할 수 있습니다:

 

• Temporarily suspend incoming touch events (beginIgnoringInteractionEvents())
  = 일시적으로 터치 이벤트의 입력을 중지시킵니다.
• Register for remote notifications (registerForRemoteNotifications())
  = remote notification 을 등록합니다.
• Trigger the undo-redo UI (applicationSupportsShakeToEdit)
• Determine whether there is an installed app registered to handle a URL scheme (canOpenURL(_:))
  = URL scheme 을 처리하기 위해 설치되어 있는 앱을 등록할지 결정합니다.
• Extend the execution of the app so that it can finish a task in the background (beginBackgroundTask(expirationHandler:) and beginBackgroundTask(withName:expirationHandler:))
  = 앱의 실행 시간을 늘려서 해당 작업을 `background`에서 완료할 수 있게 합니다.
• Schedule and cancel local notifications (scheduleLocalNotification(_:) and cancelLocalNotification(_:))
  = Local notification 을 짜거나 취소합니다.
• Coordinate the reception of remote-control events (beginReceivingRemoteControlEvents() and endReceivingRemoteControlEvents())
  = Remote-control  이벤트의 수신을 조정합니다.
• Perform app-level state restoration tasks (methods in the Managing the State Restoration Behavior task group)
  = App-level `state restoration` 작업들을 수행합니다.
